It's been an action packed week at Westminster, with lots of meetings based on what you've written to me about recently.
On Monday I met with British Gas to talk about what support they have put in place to support customers with the rising cost of energy. I'm trying to meet with ad many suppliers as possible so that my team can support everyone who is struggling at the moment. Later in the day I joined a Delegated Legislation Committee to transfer outdated EU regulations to British law.
On Tuesday I had a briefing from the team behind Small Business Saturday and the National Lottery Fund to discuss projects they are supporting in our area.
Later in the day I attended a reception for sustainable aviation and discussed the future of the sector with Rolls Royce.
Of course I was cheering on England in the evening with friends.
On Wednesday, I started the day on a Bill Committee to give more flexibility to Co-operatives and mutuals.
I had meetings with the Department of International Trade and National Citizen Service who have a strong presence in our area.
On Thursday I called on the Rail Minister to review the Avanti contract on the West Coast Mainline after their disastrous performance lately. I also spoke in the World AIDS Day Debate and called for better funding for sexual health services.
On Friday I had the very great pleasure of meeting pupils from Matthew Moss School in Rochdale in Parliament to answer their questions about being an MP and how we represent you. It's always fantastic to see that young people care about the important issues.
On Saturday I visited some of the nominees for my Small Business of the Year competition including winners Ace Clearance in Middleton.
There were some wonderful businesses to choose from so well done to everyone who was nominated and thank you to everyone who sent in their suggestions.
