I'm sure I don't need to tell you this has been an eventful week.
A lot of you have been in touch to ask about my vote in the Confidence motion on Monday. I'm sorry to disappoint, but that is a private matter and I won't be saying publicly. The 1922 is my de facto Trade Union and I take its processes seriously.
In truth, Monday's vote was a relatively minor event in an otherwise busy week, focused on getting the best for you.
I started the week by sitting on a Delegated Legislation Committee which sought to update the rules on how Pharmacies dispense prescriptions. Whilst it might not sound like the most exciting of topics, it was actually an important step to make sure that our excellent chemists can play a more active role in supporting the public.
Later on in the week I had a series of meetings, including an APPG AGM and then a meeting with energy firm Cadent to talk about the future of heating. It was a timely appointment as I had just asked about bringing more Hydrogen jobs to our area in Business Questions.
Later on I had a call with the Northern Care Alliance which runs our local hospitals about their recent IT issues. I'm pleased to see that they've got a grip on things after some serious challenges.
I also met with the team at Keeping Dementia in Mind about the "Front of Mind" campaign which is looking to improve understand and support for those dealing with dementia and their families.
On Wednesday I was on duty as a PPS most of the day, but also took part in the Science and Technology Select Committee hearing into data privacy and found time to meet with organisations promoting Carers' Week and the team from Sainsbury's to talk about their healthy living campaign.
On Wednesday I hopped on the sleeper down to Cornwall to join the Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme at the Royal Navy Air Station in Culdrose - it was an intensive and informative 48 hours.
After that I headed back up North to join residents in Heywood for the spectacular 1940s day. Thank you to everyone who stopped to talk, I really enjoyed it.
Another busy week lies ahead, but in the meantime stay safe and look after each other.
