A short but eventful week in Westminster this time.
Events were dominated by the Coronation of their Majesties King Charles and Queen Camilla and on Tuesday I had the very great privilege of meeting His Majesty in Parliament at a reception where I passed on the very warm wishes of people in Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale.
Later in the day I met with senior RAF officers for a briefing on the future of the force and in particular their role in space - it was a fascinating and important discussion.
On Wednesday, I met with the Green Greenpower Education Trust who work to improve education opportunities in STEM, especially in communities where there is low attainment. I want young people in our communities to have access to every opportunity possible and I'm hoping to work with the Trust in future.
After Prime Minister's Questions and my duties in the House of Lords I headed back up North ahead of the local elections on Thursday.
The elections were particularly tough for the Conservatives, after 13 years of having to take tough decisions we inevitably faced some of the frustration people are feeling and I know a lot of good community champions lost out because of national politics. For that reason, I was expecially grateful that in our constituency every sitting Conservative Councillor was re-elected.
They work hard to support where they represent and I'm proud to call them friends as well as colleagues.
Finally this week, I joined representatives of local and national Government, the military, charities and faith groups at a service of thanksgiving for the Coronation.
Whether you're a monarchist or not, I'm sure we all wish the King and Queen every success and happiness in representing our country.
God Save the King!
