This week the big news was the Prime Minister's deal on Northern Ireland - to say we were all pleasantly surprised is an understatement.
The deal resets our relationship with the EU, allows Northern Ireland to carry on as a full and equal member of the UK and opens the door to the reformation of the Northern Ireland executive.
Also this week I've had the opportunity again to follow up on some of the important issues you've written to me about.
I had a meeting with Rochdale AFC which was particularly timely given the new Fan-led review which came out last week and we spoke about the future of the club.
This week also saw the concerning news that jobs in Heywood would be lost as a result of Sainsbury's decision to close their Argos warehouses in a number of sites. I demanded an urgent meeting and have insisted on involvement in the process from now on. I also contacted the DWP to ensure they were ready to offer support to those affected.
I also met with "Long Live the Local" to talk about how we support the 85 pubs in the Heywood and Middleton constituency. I was proud to have been named a champion of the pub sector and will continue to support lower duty on beer and spirits as a way to support hospitality.
This week also saw World Book Day and although I didn't get a chance to dress up this year, it was great to be able to get briefed about the positive impact locally.
I also attended a meeting about the future of UK-US relations - especially important given the current political climate.
Finally, this week I took the chance to welcome the introduction of "Awaab's Law" on social housing and to ask the Levelling Up Minister for her assurances that it will protect social housing tenants in future.
Another busy week awaits and I look forward to letting you know what I've been up to this time next week.
