It was back to work after Easter recess this week with a busy time in Westminster and the Constituency.
Early in the week I secured a spot in the first Energy Security and Net Zero questions where I asked about the importance of supporting British nuclear and hydrogen - we have the technology and skills here at home to become truly energy independent and I want the Government to invest in that.
I also me this week with Cadent who are investing in the North West's hydrogen network to hear about their progress.
On Wednesday I was lucky enough to secure my fourth PMQ and I asked about the reports that the Labour Party in Wales want to give £1600 a month to migrants. I think this is a silly and immoral idea which will only make Channel crossings worse - I'm pleased the PM agreed.
Also this week, I welcomed locally based business Dunster's Farm to Parliament in recognition of their successful awards from the National Wholesale Distributors Federation - they've gone from some tough times during COVID to being a major local investor and employer.
Back in the Constituency I've been out again talking to people ahead of the local elections but I've also hosted my Apprenticeship Fair in Heywood - I was genuinely bowled over by the number of people who got involved and I'll be looking forward to hosting another soon.
Next week will be a heavy one with the Prime Minister's Small Boats Bill back in Parliament. I'm keen to ever your thoughts on this and any other issues that matter to you.
Have a fantastic week and be in touch!
