With two weeks to go before Parliament rises for Christmas recess, there's still lots going on in Westminster.
On Monday I met with the senior leadership team of BAE Systems - many people don't know that right here in Heywood and Middleton we have local businesses contributing to the next generation fighter plane project, so I was keen to make the case for more jobs, training and investment locally.
I also met with the CEO of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, which promotes democracy and good governance across the Commonwealth to hear about their work.
Later on in the Week, the Science and Technology Select Committee continued its investigation into new nuclear in the UK and held a special session on research and development funding with experts from the field.
I had a meeting with Guide Dogs to hear about their "Open Doors" initiative and later on had a briefing on Apprenticeship Fairs with a view to running one here in our communities.
I joined the International Trade Secretary for a briefing on her department's work and talked about how we can take advantage of new FTAs now that we have left the EU.
On Thursday I sat on a Committee setting out protections for British Businesses when dealing with sanctioned countries.
On Friday I was privileged to speak in the Second Reading of a Bill which will introduce new protections against harassment on the basis of sex. This is an area where the law has been slow to catch up, so it was a welcome improvement.
I also had the pleasure of introducing a Bill on behalf of Lord Hayward which will prevent family members from placing undue pressure on relatives at the ballot box, ending the practice of "Family Voting".
It's extremely cold out at the moment, so take care and wrap up warm - heating is expensive at the moment, so if you are struggling, please take a look at my cost of living hub on the website and feel free to contact my team and I if you need further help.
