Earlier this week I hosted a Parliamentary roundtable on apprenticeships and green jobs. I was joined by Mitie, BAE Systems, Rolls Royce, the DWP and several other apprenticeship providers.
We had excellent discussions about increasing apprenticeship uptake, growing green skills and bringing good-paying jobs to our area.
I'm a keen supporter of apprenticeships and further education. My April apprenticeship fair in Heywood was a success. I look forward to hosting another fair in the autumn - stay tuned!
